As the snow begins to fall and we come back from our winter break, it can be hard to come back to school. Fortunately, there are many different activities and events that students have access to!
Starting off the new year with new sports such as, boys wrestling, girls basketball, and boys basketball. Specific times and dates are already set on Legacy’s athletic calendar, coming to these games will help with the school spirit and will definitely cheer up our athletes! To help introduce our winter sports for this year and to raise the school spirit, there will be a pep assembly on January 16th. Be sure to practice the school cheers and be ready for a day full of games and more.
During the month of January there are a couple of days off for the students, January 5th which is a standard staff workday, and January 19th which will be taken off for Martin Luther King Day.
Want to be part of a club to start off the new year? Legacy offers many different clubs and activities for whatever passion you may have. Art club meets Tuesdays after school in F211, Battle of the Books meets every other Thursday, and Walk With Jesus meets every Wednesday in A107. And if you wanted to express your opinions and inform the school of events, Newspaper Club meets every Monday in D109 and is looking for writers! For other clubs, you can access the Legacy Clubs and Activities website.
Since it is the start of a new semester, make sure to check your schedules to make sure you know where you’re going! Want to change anything? Talk to your counselors to see if there are any open classes.
