"Decay on the Vine." From a blackberry vine in late May, a decaying leaf of contrasting colors. While everyone knows that leaves fall with autumn, I wanted to capture the process of a leaf being ready to fall. As I was examining different trees and plants, I was attracted to this blackberry vine. I think this photo perfectly captures the battle between summer and fall--- the contrast of tan and green accented by purple is beautiful.
