Halloween has come and gone. That means it’s time for sweaters, hot chocolate, and blankets— even if Thanksgiving hasn’t come yet. As the temperature drops, most of us are less interested in getting exercise, so why not try ice skating? The Ice Centre at the Promenade is the nearest place where you can skate, snack, and hang out with your friends.

About

The Ice Centre is a triple ice sheet skating rink, one of only a few in North America. It is the biggest public rink in America at 143,000 sq. ft. The facility provides skating lessons for ages 4 and up, as well as hockey lessons for young adults.

Location

The Ice Centre is in the Westminster Promenade, about 15 minutes from Legacy. The address is 10710 Westminster Blvd, Westminster, CO 80020.

When

The public skate varies from day to day, but a general time is 1:30pm to 3:30pm. You can check the website and look at the calendar to see if it is available to you. Lesson times depend on age and season.

Prices

Price for entry for public skating is $6.00, but $1.00 for ages 4 and under. Ice skate rentals cost $3.50, and lockers are $0.50. The cost of lessons depends on your location and whether or not you own your own pair of skates.

It may not be winter yet, but the Ice Centre is open for all!
